Reconciliation/Penance

The Sacrament of Reconciliation/Penance (“Confession”) is on Sundays in the “Quiet Room” to the left of the main church entrance.

  • 8:00 – 8:10 am

  • 10:20 – 10:40 am

  • 4:45 – 5:00 pm

Individuals can also schedule a time with Father Val by calling the Office M-F 8:30-4:30 at (901) 527-2542

Children are prepared for First Reconciliation beginning in the second grade in connection with their preparation for receiving First Holy Communion. Children are required to attend either our Catechesis of the Good Shepard program or have been enrolled in a Catholic school for the full year prior to beginning preparation to receive the sacrament. In other words, for a child to receive First Reconciliation and/or First Communion in second grade, they must attend religion classes, (Catechesis of the Good Shepard or Catholic school) in both first and second grade.

Questions? Contact Shannon Curtis, Coordinator of Faith Formation for Catechesis of the Good Shepard, at the church office at (901) 527-2542 or email: shannon.curtis@stpat.cdom.org.

Sin harms our relationship with God and damages our communion with the Church. Conversion of heart is the beginning of our journey back to God.
